COLONNA SONORA DEL FILM "EYES WIDE SHUT" (SOUNDTRACK FROM THE MOTION PICTURE "EYES WIDE SHUT")

Del grande regista Stanley Kubrick (uno dei miei idoli) avevo parlato in uno dei primissimi post del mio blog.

Oggi propongo all'ascolto la colonna sonora dell'ultimo suo capolavoro: "Eyes wide shut" (con Tom Cruise e Nicole Kidman). I temi musicali spaziano dalla classica (il "Walzer 2" tratto dalla "Jazz Suite" di Shostakovich) alla contemporanea d'autore ("Naval officer", "The dream" e "Masked ball", tutti dell'interessante compositrice Jocelyn Pook), al rock e, soprattutto, al jazz così caro a Kubrick.

Voto personale (scarso / insufficiente / sufficiente / buono / distinto / ottimo / eccellente): Ottimo.

I talked about great film-maker Stanley Kubrick (one of my movie idols) in one of my very early posts on this blog.

Today I'm posting the original soundtrack from the last masterpiece directed by Kubrick: "Eyes wide shut" (featuring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman). The tracks range from classical music ("Waltz 2" from Shostakovich's "Jazz Suite") to first-rate contemporary music ("Naval officer", "The dream", "Masked ball" - all of them composed by Jocelyn Pook), to rock and, finally, jazz music (which Kubrick himself adored).

My personal mark (very poor / poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Very good.
