IO E IL MIO GRUPPO ROCK (1979) - ME AND MY ROCK BAND (1979)

Anch'io ho militato in vari gruppi rock da giovane. E ho avuto l'onore di suonare al Palazzetto dello Sport di Torino - proprio quel Palasport dove facevano tappa i migliori gruppi dell'epoca. Pur non essendo grande (4.000-5000 posti a sedere), se non altro la musica si sentiva abbastanza bene. Non come nell'orribile PalaIsozaki (o PalaStampa) nel quale si tengono i concerti attuali.

Le foto di questo post presentano il gruppo E.F.E., nel quale suonavo le tastiere. Le prime due si riferiscono, rispettivamente, al concerto al Palasport (gennaio 1979) e a uno spettacolo successivo al Cinema Zenit di Torino (aprile 1979). Le altre si riferiscono invece al doppio concerto all'aperto del 30 giugno 1979 al Parco Ruffini di Torino.

When I was younger, I played in several rock bands. And I had the honour of playing at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Turin - the very "Palasport" where the major rock bands of the Seventies used to play. Though it was not a large venue (seating capacity: 4,000-5,000), at least the acoustics were fairly good. Just the opposite of PalaIsozaki (also known as PalaStampa), the horrible venue in Turin where a lot of rock concerts have been held for some years.

The photos in this post present E.F.E. (the rock band in which I played the keyboards). Pictures 1 and 2 (from top) refer to the Palasport concert (January 1979) and a later concert at the Cinema Zenit in Turin (April 1979), respectively. The next pictures refer to the two outdoor gigs at Parco Ruffini, Turin (June 30th, 1979).
