Pubblicato nel 1973, "Band on the run" è il quinto album solista di Paul McCartney (il terzo con i Wings). Il lavoro segue il successo planetario del singolo "Live and let die", colonna sonora dell'omonimo film di James Bond, ed è considerato il migliore di tutta la carriera solista del celebre ex-Beatles.
Personalmente, l'album occupa un posto particolare nel mio cuore, in quanto mi ricorda il lontano periodo dei miei primi approcci amorosi di una certa ... consistenza. Non solo per questo - ma soprattutto per la freschezza delle idee musicali - mi vedo costretto ad assegnargli un voto alto.

Released in 1973, "Band on the run" is McCartney's fifth album (or McCartney & Wings' third). It followed the success of "Live and let die" (the worldwide smash which was also the theme song of a James Bond film) and is considered the most celebrated of the former Beatles member's solo albums.
Personally, "Band on the run" occupies a privileged place in my heart, since it reminds me of my first ... heavy love advances I made to a lovely teenage girl. That's the reason - yet, not the only one - why I 'm giving this album a "very good" mark.
A must for those who love rock music!
