CONCERTO PER ORCHESTRA / MUSICA PER ARCHI, PERCUSSIONI E CELESTA (Bela Bartok)

Strano un album di musica classica nel mio blog, vero? Ne avevo già postato uno, moltissimo tempo fa: la celeberrima 9a Sinfonia di L.V. Beethoven.

Questa volta posto musica classica di Bela Bartok, diretta da Herbert Von Karajan, con la Berliner Philharmoniker. Un musicista che amo, Bartok, senza contare che ha ispirato icone progressive quali Keith Emerson e Robert Fripp.

Nota importante: avrete certamente visto il thriller “Shining”, di Stanley Kubrick. Ricordate le note angoscianti della scena del labirinto e di quella in cui il ragazzino corre sul triciclo nei corridoi dell’Overlook Hotel? Ebbene, le potete riascoltare in questo album (traccia numero 8).

Quite strange to find a classical music album in this blog, isn’t it? I had already posted one album of this musical genre: the most famous 9th Symphony, by L.V. Beethoven.

Today I’m posting classical music by Bela Bartok, directed by Herbert Von Karajan leading the Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra. I do love Bartok’s music which, among other things, ‘inspired’ such prog rock icons as Keith Emerson and Robert Fripp.

Important! You must have watched Stanley Kubrick’s thriller masterpiece “The shining”. Can you recall the ‘scary’ music accompanying the scary maze scene as well as the scene where the medium kid rides his tricycle along the eerie corridors inside the Overlook Hotel? Well, you can listen to it again in this album (track # 8).

My personal mark (classical genre): 9 out of 10.
