I Doobie Brothers sono un gruppo musicale nato negli anni Settanta, da annoverare nel genere rock con componenti blues-funky, inizialmente formato nel 1969 da Tom Johnston, chitarrista ed autore dei testi, e John Hartmann, batterista, cui si sono affiancati mano a mano altri musicisti.
Durante la loro carriera i Doobie Brothers hanno vinto un gran numero di Grammy Awards e dischi d'oro e di platino. Il loro successo più famoso, “Long train running”, è solo uno dei moltissimi brani che compaiono nella compilation che ho deciso di postare. Un doppio album all’insegna del rock tipico americano - una tipica musica da viaggio che evoca i grandi trucks statunitensi e i lunghi viaggi sulle highway americane.
