RE-UPLOAD DI UN ALBUM POSTATO IL 4 MAGGIO 2007, IL CUI LINK È RISULTATO "CIMITO": “GRAN CALMA” (PITURA FRESKA).
REGGAE ITALIANO. Ecco una presentazione concisa dei Pitura Freska, gruppo "scoppiato" di veneziani appassionati di Giamaica. "Gran calma", pubblicato nel 1997, contiene il celebre hit "Papa nero", brano presentato nell'edizione del Festival di Sanremo di quello stesso anno.
Ho avuto modo di vederli dal vivo, e devo riconoscere che sono ottimi musicisti. E poi, "Sir" Oliver Skardy, che presenta la band e i brani con quel suo simpatico accento veneziano, a me così caro per le mie origini per l'appunto veneziane (da parte materna).
L'album contiene 11 brani in perfetto stile reggae "italianizzato": fra i migliori, "UFO", "Papa nero", "Ridicoli", "Cosa mai sarà" e "Sogni".
Tutti i testi sono in veneziano.

ITALIAN REGGAE. This is a concise introduction to Pitura Freska, the "stoned" Venetian band fond of Jamaican music. "Gran calma" was released in 1997 and contains "Papa nero", the famous hit that the band played on the stage of the "Festival di Sanremo" 1997 edition. Among other things, I went to a Pitura Freska concert, and I must say they are very good (and smart) performers - lead vocalist "Sir" Oliver Skardy introducing the band members and the songs and speaking in a typical Venetian accent that makes me feel at ease (my mummy was born in Venice, by the way).
The album includes 11 songs, fully "Italianate" reggae style. Among my favourite ones are "UFO", "Papa nero", "Ridicoli", "Cosa mai sarà" and "Sogni".
All the lyrics are written in the Venetian dialect.
