1973-74 L'ESPERIENZA AMERICANA (PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI) - 1973-74

“Is my face on straight?”, “Impressioni di settembre”).
Voto personale (insufficiente / sufficiente / buono / distinto / ottimo / eccellente): Ottimo.

On March 22nd 2008 I posted an “official” bootleg by Premiata Forneria Marconi – a very original album in that it included some cover songs by Jethro Tull and King Crimson (the latter band had a great influence on Premiata Forneria Mrconi’s early records)
Today I’m posting “1973-74 L’esperienza americana”, the follow-up to the aforesaid CD. When you look at the track list and, above all, you start listening to the tracks, you will easily realize that this album closely resembles “Live in U.S.A.” (also known as “P.F.M. cook” in the American market). Yet, it features a few tracks that have never been released on a live album from this band (e.g. “Is my face on straight?”, “Impressioni di settembre”). The line-up was the same as the one who played on the well-acclaimed “Live in U.S.A.”, e.g. the best P.F.M. line-up ever, in their very top form. As with the first CD of this set (i.e. the above-mentioned one, posted on March 22nd 2008), this is an album worth listening to carefully and with a “curious” spirit, due to the great deal of improvised sections.
My personal mark (poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Very good.
