LIVE IN ORLANDO (KING CRIMSON) - 1972

Voto personale: Distinto.

Another 'unofficial' live album by King Crimson, released in early 2000 when a number of unknown recordings by prog rock bands were 'taken out' some dusty drawers in the recording companies' archives.
Unfortunately, as is often the case with such albums, the sound recording quality is quite poor. The band's performance, on the contrary, is somehow good, even though Fripp & Co. might have spared themselves the trouble of playing, for instance, such a horrible renderning of Cirkus as the one in this album. This is what you get when you record an intricate piece of music in a studio and, then, try to play it live on stage on a mere quartet.
A quartet, I was saying: the Live in Orlando's line-up is the same as in Islands.

My personal mark: Fairly good.

Ciao
