Raramente ho proposto album di cantautori italiani. Ma nel caso di Fabrizio De Andre' è doveroso fare un'eccezione, per quello che ritengo il migliore dei cantautori di casa nostra.
"Creuza de ma" (scusatemi, amici genovesi, per non aver messo gli accenti giusti sulle parole del vostro interessantissimo e carinissimo - seppur talvolta 'brusco' - dialetto) viene considerato da alcuni critici come il migliore album italiano degli anni Ottanta, seppur cantato interamente in genovese. Ed anche i pareri di musicisti ed esperti stranieri (David Byrne, ad esempio) non si discostano da un tale giudizio d'eccellenza per quello che viene considerato un capolavoro di musica etnica.
Ascoltatelo con attenzione e ditemi se non merita il voto gli chi ho dato.

I have rarely posted albums by italian songwriters. Yet, Fabrizio De Andre' stands on his own, due to his being, in my opinion, perhaps the best Italian songwriter ever.
"Creuza de ma" (I apologize to the Genoese-speaking visitors to this blog for not putting the right accents on the Genoese dialect words of the album title) is considered to be the best Italian album of the 1980s, despite it is entirely sung by De Andre' in the Genoese dialect. And also the opinions from foreign reviewers and musicians (e.g. David Byrne) are the same in terms of excellence for this album, which is indeed considered as an ethnic music masterpiece.
If you listen to this album carefully, you will realize why I gave it a very high mark.
