Ci risiamo: dopo il novembre 1994 e l’ottobre 2000, Il Piemonte è nuovamente devastato dalla piena dei fiumi.
In effetti erano giorni che pioveva quasi ininterrottamente: maggio è stato schifoso qui da noi, il sole lo abbiamo visto pochissimi giorni. Già due giorni fa, attraversando un ponte sul Po, mi ero reso conto della portata eccezionalmente anomala del grande fiume. Poi, da ieri, tutti i comunicati stampa e i notiziari TV che certamente avrete sentito.

Già due giorni fa, attraversando un ponte sul Po, mi ero reso conto della portata eccezionalmente anomala del grande fiume. Poi, da ieri, tutti i comunicati stampa e i notiziari TV che certamente avrete sentito.
Ho passato la notte ad aiutare degli amici a rimuovere le preziose attrezzature da uno studio di registrazione/sala prove situata nei pressi del Po. Arrivato a casa, non ho voglia di dormire. Volevo postare un po’ di musica, ma mi sono limitato alle seguenti poche immagini in alto (sono di due giorni fa - in provincia, le cose vanno decisamente peggio), che testimoniano la gravità dei fatti. Speriamo davvero che smetta di piovere. Adesso vado a riposarmi, visto anche che le scuole oggi sono chiuse a Torino e che, quindi, i miei pargoli dormiranno fino a tardi. Ma stasera posterò qualcosa di “tosto”.
Here’s again the same old fucking situation: Piedmont is being ravaged again by flooding rivers, just like it happened in November 1994 and October 2000.
As a matter of fact, it has been raining almost non-stop for days: May has had awfully bad weather this year in Turin and Piedmont, sunny days were a rare occurrence. Two days ago I chanced to drive past a bridge upon river Po and I did realize the river’s flow was exceptionally beyond the safety limits. Then, yesterday’s press and TV news gave evidence of the critical situation in the region where I live.

Well, I have spent the night helping friends to move electronic equipment and musical instruments away from a small recording studio/rehearsal room situated next to the river Po. When I came back home about one and a half hour ago, I didn’t feel like going to sleep. I wanted to post some music but I didn’t: I have only posted a few pictures (above, dating back to two days ago, with swollen rivers flowing across Turin - things are much worse in the town's surroundings) showing the whole worrying situation concerning the river floods. I hope it would stop raining! Now I’m going to take a few hours’ rest: schools will be closed in Turin today, so my kids are going to sleep until late in the morning. However, I’ll be posting some great stuff tonight. See you then.

E' vero, il Piemonte negli ultimi anni è stato più volte colpito da terribili alluvioni ma sono convinto che anche questa volta il volonteroso popolo piemontese ne uscirà benissimo. Un grandissimo augurio agli amici e vicini piemontesi.
