Gli U2 pubblicarono “Under a blood red sky” nel 1983. Un album dal vivo - uno di quei dischi che segnano un’epoca: non a caso, è l’album dal vivo con il maggior numero di vendite in Gran Bretagna. I brani presenti sono tratti dai concerti del “War Tour”: fra essi spiccano, in particolare, “Sunday bloody Sunday”, resa con un'incredibile grinta da Bono (celebre la frase che introduce il pezzo: "Non è una canzone di protesta …”), una versione “massiccia” di “New year’s day” e la “spigliata” “Party girl”.

“Under a blood red sky” is the name of US’s live record release in 1983. One the most famous landmark rock albums: in fact, it is the best-selling live recording ever in the UK. It consists of live recordings from three shows on the band's “War” tour. The album highlights include a fiery rendition of “Sunday bloody Sunday” (famously introduced by Bono with the words "this is not a rebel song”), a powerful version of “New year’s day”, and a jaunty run-through of “Party girl”.

An album for which any other word or comment would be superfluous.
