FRAGMENTS OF LIGHT (SENSATIONS' FIX) - 1974

Dopo essermela spassata due giorni in Liguria (e, conseguentemente, non aver postato un fico secco), è doveroso da parte mia rimediare immediatamente (cioè, lavorare e postare come fanno tutti - o quasi - anche se al mare in settimana si sta da dio).

Eccome quindi con un "cult" progressive italiano (anche se un po' obsoleto ...). Se cercate un album progressive italiano anni Settanta diverso dai “soliti” P.M.F., Banco, Le Orme, (e rispettivi imitatori), questo è il disco che fa per voi. “Fragments of light” è il primo lavoro dei Sensations’ Fix, trio elettronico ispirato, fra gli altri, dalla musica tedesca di quei tempi. Ovviamente, i suoni di quei sintetizzatori - e, più in generale, la struttura del disco - sono alquanto datati, eppure non mancheranno di affascinare gli appassionati del genere. Un album da ascoltare, se non altro, per “curiosità prog-culturale”.

Voto personale (scarso / insufficiente / sufficiente / buono / distinto / ottimo / eccellente): Distinto.

After enjoying a lovely two days' time in Liguria (and, as a result, posting no album at all), here I am at work again (I think I should do so, like every other weekday worker - but I have to admit that you have a wonderful time at the seaside while most people are at work).

If you are looking for an Italian prog album of the Seventies other than the usual P.F.M., Banco, Le Orme (and their respective imitators), let me suggest that you listen to “Fragments of light”, the first record released by Sensations’ Fix (an Italian trio who drew inspiration, among the others, from German “kraut-rock”). Of course, the vintage synthetizer sounds - and, in general, the very structure - of this album may seem out-of-date, yet they will surely appeal to the fans of this genre. An album which may be listened to out of “prog-culture curiosity”.

My personal mark (very poor / poor / pass / fairly good / very good / excellent): Fairly good.
