TROPPO FUMO ... POCO SESSO!

L'articolo in alto risale a moltissimi anni fa (circa 25), e merita senz'altro una lettura. Ma cosa c'entra il fumo con il sesso? C'entra, c'entra .... Soprattutto nel caso degli uomini.

I danni del fumo sulle donne gravide sono ormai noti da una vita. Ma quello che l'articolo sottolinea sono, tuttavia, gli effetti negativi della sigaretta sulla fertilità e "potenza" maschile. Curiosamente, non mi pare di aver mai sentito il mondo medico accennare a questo genere di danni; o perlomeno, non ricordo di aver mai letto o sentito parlare di questo argomento nelle riviste o nei programmi televisivi più conosciuti.

Pensate solo alla scritta "Il fumo riduce la potenza sessuale" sui pacchetti di sigarette ... Sono sicuro che indurrebbe molti uomini a smettere, ben più che "Il fumo uccide" o "Il fumo causa cancro polmonare" ...

The article above dates back to many years ago (about 25), and is well worth reading. Has smoking anything to do with sex? Of course it has, especially as far as males are concerned.

Everybody knows that smoking is a serious health hazard to pregnant women. Yet, the above article points out the bad effects on male fertility and sexual "potency". Curiously, I don't think I have ever heard the medicine experts talk about these harmful effects. Or, at least, I don't remember reading or hearing experts talk about the matter on popular magazines or TV programs.

What would happen if the "Smoking affects sexual potency" warning were printed on cigarette packets? Well, I think it would induce male smokers to give up much more than the "Smoking kills" or "Smoking causes lung cancer" warnings ...
