Sono auguri difficili da fare, quest'anno. Cosa posso augurarvi di originale? La consueta 'prosperità'? Sììììì, proprio quella, intesa come 'grano' che ne abbiamo nei portafogli sempre meno, e che più ne abbiamo, meglio è. Oltre alla salute, ovviamente ...

Ah, come sto diventando banale. Se non altro, questo poche righe non sono accompagnate dalle immagini gaie e gioiose che di solito corredano gli auguri in occasione delle feste natalizie. Ho preferito una serie di immagini più o meno discutibili, come nel mio stile degli ultimi tempi.

Ad ogni modo, quello che auguro a tutti voi è certamente la felicità e la salute. Ma, soprattutto, tanti, tanti soldini nelle vostre tasche.

One could find it hard to wish 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year' at the end of 2011. What could I wish to you? A 'prosperous' new year. Yeah, that's right, prosperous. I mean, marked by economic well-being, since the more money on your bank account, so much the better for you. And, of course, wishing you all your best bodily health ...

Well, I realize I'm getting trite. At least, these few lines of mine are not accompanied by religious, happy (and, sometimes, 'fake') images of happiness and the like, as usual when wishing Merry Christmas to anyone. I preferred to post some disputable images, as I have usually been doing recently.

In any case, I wish happiness and good health to everybody. And, above all, plenty of money in your pocket.

Del resto, questa è la natura dell'uomo: fede, desiderio, polemica, amore per gli animali e i bambini, voglia di ridere e scherzare.

Forse l'uomo non è stato creato a Sua immagine e somiglianza???

My best wishes to you all for a holy and happy Easter. As usual, I'm mixing up the sacred and the profane, the humorous and the childish, the love for animals and the nonsense.

After all, this is the human nature: faith, desire, argumentativeness, affection for kids and animals, a mood for laughing and joking.

God created man in His own image and likeness, didn't he???

19 MARZO: FESTA DEL PAPÀ (MARCH 19th: FATHER'S DAY)

19 marzo: Festa del papà. Lasciamo perdere tutte le stronzate inventate solo per vendere.
Un padre è - o meglio, dovrebbe essere - una figura importante, un riferimento fondamentale per ognuno di noi. E così come mio padre è stato importantissimo per me, anch’io spero di essere un prezioso faro per i miei figli.
In questa ricorrenza ho deciso di postare una foto alla quale sono molto legato. Una foto “trans-generazionale” di dodici anni fa, quando mio figlio (a destra) sapeva a malapena camminare e mio padre (in centro) era ancora vivo ...

In ogni caso, un augurio a tutti i papà del mondo.

March 19th: Father’s Day is celebrated today in Italy. Fuck all the commercial bullshit and gifts made available on the market for all of us to spend money.
A father is - or, rather, should be - a very important person, a guiding principle for everybody. And just like my father was very important to me, I hope I’ll be a beacon for my children.
Today I have decided to post a photo to which I am very affectionate - a photo encompassing three generations and dating back to twelve years ago, when my kid (on the right) was barely able to walk and my father (in the middle) was still alive …

Dopo qualche giorno di riposo, rieccomi qui come promesso.
I propositi del nuovo anno per questo blog? Bene, spero di proporre cose sempre interessanti e, nei limiti del possibile, di ampliare gli argomenti trattati. A questo riguardo, dedicherò più spazio a questioni di attualità e politica, anche se parlare di “politica” comporta sempre qualche rischio. Diciamo piuttosto, commenti basati sul buon senso.
Quanto all’immagine di cui sopra, abbiate pazienza: Massimo, un mio caro amico, mi definisce “monotematico”, vista la mia propensione a parlare molto spesso di un certo argomento. Non è colpa mia, mia madre mi ha fatto così …
Scherzi a parte, andiamo a iniziare il 2008. Non con la musica, bensì con alcuni post di immagini.

After a few days’ rest, here I am again like I promised to.
My new year’s resolutions? Well, I hope I’ll be posting more interesting stuff: if I’ve got enough spare time, I’ll do my best to extend the range of the subjects I’ll be dealing with. To this regard, I’ll be introducing articles about current events and politics, even though talking about “politics” often involves some risks. I’d rather say I’ll be making comments and remarks based on “common sense”.
As far as the above picture is concerned, please do excuse me: a dear friend of mine called Massimo says I’m “single-themed”, owing to my having a bent for talking about the gentle sexy most of the time. Well, I’m not to blame for it: that was the way I was born …

AUGURI DI BUON ANNO! (WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR)

Quando ho iniziato questo blog non potevo certo prevedere quanti visitatori avrebbe avuto e da quali parti del mondo. A dire il vero, all’inizio le visite non erano poi molte, ma con il passare del tempo i miei post hanno attratto l’interesse di molti visitatori (a volte centinaia al giorno) dalle parti più remote del pianeta. Tutto ciò mi ha spronato a pubblicare sempre più materiale: principalmente musica, ma anche immagini di vario genere (femminili, curiose, immagini di viaggi), commenti su argomenti vari (cinema, attualità), barzellette e quant’altro considero interessante.
Essendo il 2007 ormai prossimo al termine, voglio esprimere sinceri auguri di buon anno e un saluto a tutti i miei visitatori, in particolare ad alcuni amici blogger che ho avuto modo di “conoscere” nella Rete:
UMMAGUMMA: il mio mentore, nonché maestro ispiratore nel mondo dei blog. Sebbene il suo meraviglioso blog sia stato costretto a prematura e ingiusta fine, lo ricordo sempre con affetto.
SALAM: un gran simpaticone con il quale provo istintivamente una certa comunanza di idee, e che prima o poi spero di conoscere.
DEAD POET PALOZ: un blogger conosciuto da poco, una sorta di mio alter ego andando indietro nel tempo di una ventina d’anni - una persona davvero sensibile e interessante.
MOCHO: carissimo amico di un paese lontano, al quale faccio i migliori auguri di un nuovo anno all’insegna della salute e della prosperità.
BINKO: non un blogger, ma qualcosa di più: un caro amico d’infanzia - forse il migliore amico di una vita - che ho ritrovato la scorsa estate dopo un buio durato una ventina d’anni. A lui, alla sua graziosa moglie e alle sue tre splendide figlie auguro quanto di meglio si possa immaginare per l’anno che è alle porte.
Congedandomi per qualche giorno di meritato riposo, auguro a tutti voi un 2008 migliore, ricco di benessere, salute, pace e prosperità.

When I started this blog, I couldn’t guess how many visitors from all over the world it would have attracted. As a matter of fact, not many people visited it at the beginning; however, as time went by, my posts attracted the attention of more and more visitors (amounting to hundreds each day) getting connected from the remotest parts of the world. This has driven me to post a lot of stuff: mainly music records, but also images of various kinds (women, curiosities, travel pictures), commentaries on miscellaneous subjects (cinema, current events), jokes and any other item I deem of some interest.
As 2007 is coming to an end, I am herewith sending all of you my best wishes of a happy new year. In particular, I’m giving my best regards to a few blogging friends I have met through the Web:
UMMAGUMMA: my trusted adviser and inspiring master of blogging. Though his excellent blog was unjustly and untimely forced to close down, I still remember him with affection.
SALAM: a nice, cheerful chap, with whom I feel I share a lot of common interests and views, and whom I hope I’ll be able to meet in person sooner or later.
DEAD POET PALOZ: a blogger I’ve known for not much time, a sort of my “second self” when I think of how I used to be about twenty years ago - a really tender-hearted and interesting guy.
MOCHO: a dear friend from a remote country, to whom I’m sending my best wishes of a new year rich in health and prosperity.
BINKO: he’s not a blogger, he’s someone much dearer to me: an old friend from my childhood - perhaps the best friend I’ve ever had in my life - whom I met again last summer after a twenty years’ oblivion. I do hope the forthcoming year will bring good luck to him, his pretty wife and his lovely three daughters.
Well, I’m leaving now on a few days’ vacation. May the new year bring all of you a lot of well-being, health, peace and prosperity.
