OCTOPUS (GENTLE GIANT) - 1972

Dopo due giorni di duro lavoro via di casa, rieccomi a postare un nuovo album - nel caso in questione, quello che considero il capolavoro dei Gentle Giant: "Octopus".

Lo scorso 22 marzo avevo già postato un altro album di questa versatile band inglese: "In a glass house", anch'esso di notevole fattura. "Octopus" è il quarto album del gruppo e comprende otto brani che evidenziano al meglio le abilità dei componenti della band, sia come musicisti sia come coristi. I brani che più mi colpiscono di quest'album sono "The Advent Of Panurge", "Knots", "The Boys In The Band" e, soprattutto, "Dog's Life".

Voto personale (scarso / insufficiente / sufficiente / buono / distinto / ottimo / eccellente): Ottimo.

After being away on business and working very hard for two days, here I am again posting another album - in this case, the Gentle Giant's masterpiece (in my opinion): "Octopus".

On March 22nd I posted another interesting album of this versatile British band ("In a glass house"). "Octopus" is Gentle Giant's fourth album and includes eight songs that highlight the band members' incredible skills both as instrument players and vocalists. My favourite tracks in this album include "The Advent Of Panurge", "Knots", "The Boys In The Band" and, above all, "Dog's Life".

My personal mark (very poor / poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Very good.
