PINK FLOYD LIVE AT "STADIO DELLE ALPI", TURIN (ITALY) - 13 SEPTEMBER 1994 (THE "DIVISION BELL" TOUR)

I couldn't absolutely miss Pink Floyd's concert in Turin, Italy, on September 13th 1994, during the "Division bell" tour (the last Pink Floyd world tour, unfortunately). That day was a lovely, warm end-of-summer day. There were four of us at the concert - indeed not many, compared with the "expeditions" of the rock concert goers in the Seventies. I only regretted my wife couldn't join us, owing to her being eight months pregnant.
By 4 p.m. we were already standing outside the concert venue. I can't remember what time the gates were opened. I only remember that we got our seats in a very good position.
Then, at 9 o'clock sharp, Pink Floyd walked on stage, at last! The first song they played was "Astronomy domine": well, I got disappointed during the first 20-30 seconds' playing. "No," I said to myself, "This can't be the Pink Floyd sound! Too low quality." As a matter of fact, the sound engineers were optimizing the sound output and, in fact, the sound quality turned incredibly neat after one minute or so, despite the concert was being held at a football ground.
An unforgettable performance. Everybody was enthusiastic beyond description. We heard people say that paying 50,000 liras (i.e. today's equivalent of 25,00 euros, inflation apart) for such a show was not so expensive at all. They were absolutely right!
